Security

A smaller boundary.
A clearer review.

Understand how the local example works and where security belongs in your own import implementation.

How the local example handles data

The quickstart works with three synthetic records defined in its page script. It does not read your files, access your accounts, upload content, or send the sample output to an import service. The copy action writes the visible example to your clipboard only when you activate it. Downloads are static files included with the website.

The site does not require login credentials or an API key. It does not embed third-party analytics, advertising scripts, remote font requests, or account widgets. Ordinary web requests are still made to the host serving each page and asset; the privacy page explains that distinction.

What a production import needs

Define accepted formats, resource limits, and the destination authorization boundary before accepting real files. Run untrusted processing with the capabilities it actually needs. Keep source fields separate from permissions and prevent imported values from choosing their own tenant or administrative role.

Treat previews and reports as another boundary. Display untrusted strings as text unless a separate, reviewed rendering policy applies. Restrict access to error details, original files, and derived outputs rather than protecting only the submission action.

Review the failure lifecycle

Rejected and interrupted jobs can leave temporary files, partial results, and useful diagnostic records. Define retention and cleanup for each. Keep enough context to understand the outcome without copying entire source datasets or credentials into application logs.

Use a small collection of controlled fixtures to test file limits, unauthorized access, missing required values, and repeated attempts. Document what should happen to the destination in each case. A successful happy-path import does not establish the behavior of these boundaries.

Report a concern with this website

Email [email protected] with the affected page, observed behavior, and a non-sensitive description. Do not send credentials, private records, or harmful payloads. A reproducible, minimal explanation is the most useful starting point for investigating a site issue.

Read the secure file import checklist for a broader implementation review. It includes an authoritative reference and separates design principles from claims about any particular deployment.
